The drawers slide open to reveal the functioning mechanism of this amazing piece of furniture. When closed, the cabinet looks like it was taken out of a modern fantasy. In 6 weeks, 12 skilled woodworkers created what the designer dreamed: a perfectly balanced, glamorous cabinet. Each bamboo skewer was individually hammered into the previously carved wooden structure, creating an extremely elaborate design. Currently on display at the Cristina Grajales Gallery, the Magistral Cabinet can be admired by anyone interested in the design and the artist’s work.
